Many people fear standing before the Lord on judgment day. The reality is that we won’t be there alone. Jesus, our Defender, will stand with us. When Satan (the accuser) throws out his allegations, we will be vindicated–justified–just as if we never sinned.
Isaiah said, “He who vindicates me is near” Isa. 50:8. Then he asks . . .
Who then will bring charges against me? Who is my accuser? Isaiah 50:8
Regardless of what we’ve done in our past, if we have confessed (admitted it) and repented (turned away from it), then the Lord forgives us, never to remember again. “I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more” Isa. 43:25.
If God Himself chooses to forget our sins, who are we to torment ourselves by remembering them? If you know in your heart that the Lord has forgiven you, then plan to stand before Him with your Defense Attorney ready to argue your case. Your accuser can’t stand a chance!
